Baez is an associate in the New York office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Baez handles commercial litigation, insurance defense and general liability claims including automotive liability, insurance coverage disputes and subrogation actions related to property damage, automobile accidents and other claims. She also focuses on Labor & Employment matters related to wage and hour, overtime compensation, employment discrimination and workplace harassment.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Baez worked at an insurance defense firm as a law clerk. During her summers as a law student, she worked at Latino Justice PRLDEF as a summer associate specifically focusing on Labor & Employment and education law matters. Ms. Baez also worked as a summer associate in a Long Island based law firm where she specifically worked on Civil Rights and Employment Discrimination matters.
Ms. Baez received her Juris Doctor from Touro College Fuchsberg Law Center, New York in May 2019 and Bachelor of Arts cum laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York in May 2015, graduating with a major in English and a minor in Gender Studies.
During law school, Ms. Baez studied abroad in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She also received the CALI Award for Best Oral Advocate and was presented by the Dean and Faculty with awards for Exemplary Contributions to the Growth of the Law Center and for Service to the Bar. Throughout her three years of law school, Ms. Baez was a student board member of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. Her primary role was to serve as a liaison between law students and the bar associations. She also served as the President of the Federal Bar Association, EDNY Student Chapter.
